About Our Site

GrowingKids was formed to offer a unique reference point on information and advice for parents of growing kids.

Parenting is always, at least to some degree, a 'learn as you go' endeavour. Kids undergo many changes as they grow from helpless newborns into teenagers, almost ready make their way in the adult world. Parents naturally want to help their children to reach their fullest potential and often go to great lengths to assure that they are providing their kids with every advantage.

Whether you’re looking for advice on how to get your toddler to behave in restaurants or how to talk to your teens about sex, we have the answers. As dedicated researchers, we strive to provide readers with the latest information about raising healthy, happy kids and as parents ourselves, we promise to balance cold, hard facts with common sense to provide you with information that you can use in real life.

We keep abreast of the latest studies on child development, utilise the wisdom of the world’s leading experts, and address the problems facing parents today. We value the place that families hold in the world and strive to support them as they seek ways to improve their lives.

So while parenting isn’t easy, finding answers to the questions that plague parents is. You’ve come to the right place, so come on in, put your feet up, and make yourself at home. We’re here to help.

Our concern was that there was no single UK resource for interesting features and practical advice on this subject.

Our features and articles are written by experts - who have experience, or a particular interest in this area.

John, through PtS, is involved in a number of ventures including software and property companies. A percentage of revenue from these activities goes towards funding GrowingKids and a number of similar sites.
