Hello, my name is Georgina Ridehalgh and I work under the name of Fun Creations. I basically deliver art workshops to children between the age of 3 and 11 years. Today on behalf of GrowingKids.co.uk I am going to show you how to make a stuffed paper sculpture.

To begin with we will need some large A2 sized construction paper, some common household newspaper, some self-adhesive foam, stickers to decorate, a stapler, fishing wire or a stick to mount and some scissors.

Ok, to begin with we take a piece of A2 construction paper or sugar paper and fold it in half. On that draw a very basic design – fish work well, like so. Take your scissors and cut the shape out.

Now decorate the two sides of the fish using your adhesive foam and stickers. Simply cut shapes out of the foam (circles look nice) and stick them on to the fish. Make it nice and colourful and give your fish an eye and a smiley face.

Then place your two sides together and staple three quarters of the way round leaving a gap to stuff – like so. We have a gap so you can push your hand inside and stuff the fish.

Taking the newspaper, screw into balls and push inside the fish. Stuff until the fish is nice and fat.

Next take either a stick, which you can push through the bottom and secure with tape so your fish can stand in a plant pot for example. Or alternatively to hang the fish so it can spin around in the bathroom for example, use the fishing wire, staple to the top and tie a knot to secure it.

And there you have your stuffed paper sculpture!
